Boy Scout Trap Event on September 27th - FREE

We’d like you to give us your best shot, and take part in this year’s Boy Scout Shootout on Thursday, September 27th at the Sportsmen's Club of Clifton Park.

The FREE Part - A Squad of 4 has been sponsored, so all you will need is your favorite shotgun.

Contact Robert Holtzman if you are interested in participating to round out the Squad of 4....3 more are needed!

Event

Trap Shooting is a fun way to enjoy a fall day and will include good food and great people, all for the benefit the Twin Rivers Council Boy Scout program here in Upstate New York.

Four-person teams will compete in Trap Shooting.  Classifications and awards will fit varying skill levels, so everyone has a good shot at an award.   Shooting with friends on a New York September day is pretty great by itself, but the Boy Scout Shootout offers more than that.  A lunch will be served before the start of the event.  After the Tournament, you will gather in the club house area for hors d’oeuvres and the Awards Ceremony.

Sportsmen's Club of Clifton Park

Filling Out The Travelers Entry Form

The Travelers entry form has undergone some changes recently.

Shoot Description

The first few lines of the entry form will outline where the shoot is and directions to the shoot host.  We will also describe the location of  lunch after the shoot and how much the shoot costs for both members and guests.

Signup Grid

Name

The grid at the bottom of the form carries several pieces of information.  Each line is intended to contain all the information for a single shooter.  The name of the shooter who is filling out the form should go on the first line.  When you are paying for more than one person in the squad, they should be listed in positions 2 through 6.

Junior

If the shooter is a Junior, please circle either 12 or 20 whichever gauge the Junior will be shooting.  This will help us make sure we have enough of the right type of ammunition at the shoot.  If the shooter listed is not a Junior, do not circle 12 or 20.

Lady

If you are a female, you are eligible for the Lady sub-class.  Check off this box if the shooter is a Female.

Vet1

If you are aged 55-69 on the day of the shoot , you are eligible for the Vet1 sub-class.  Check this box if you are eligible for the Vet1 sub-class.  Note, you can not be a Vet1 and a Vet2 at the same time.

Vet2

If you are age 70 or order on the day of the shoot, then you are eligible for the Vet2 sub-class.  Check this box if you are eligile for the Vet2 sub-class.  Note, you can not be a Vet1 and a Vet2 at the same time.

Guest

If the shooter listed is not a member of the Connecticut Travelers, check the box labled "Guest".  All guests are incuded in the guest sub-class.

Unable to attend Lunch

We hope you come to the Lunch after the shoot and we encourage you to come to lunch after the shoot.  The CT Travelers is a social organization first and cheering on your comrades as they accept their first award is a rewarding experience for all involved.  However, we understand that sometimes things come up and you can only attend the shoot.  If the shooter is unable to attend lunch after the shoot, they may check this box.  Checking this box will give us an accurate head count for the caterers.  Checking this box will not reduce your entry fee, lunch is always included in the entry fee.  Checking this box is merely a courtesy so we don't have the caterer prepare more food than necessary because Lord knows I don't need another roll.

Other

From time to time, we will have other sub-classes.  If you qualify for the sub-class represented in the last box, you may check it.

Emergency Contact Number

Sometimes we need to make last minute changes to the shoot format or start time.  If you provide a phone number where you can be reached for last minute changes, we will make sure to call you.

Please Squad With

List any people that are not on your entry form that you would like to squad with.  We will do everything we can to squad you with the people you list.  The only way to guarantee that you will be squadded with other people is to pay for everybody with the same check.
