The Rematch: Islanders vs. Mainlanders
Shoot Flyer Attached
Team Competition
There will be two teams; the Islanders and the Mainlanders. If your principle residence is in Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, or Staten Island you qualify as an Islander. Otherwise, you're a Mainlander. We will be shooting normal 4-6 gun squads. Team affiliation is only for scoring purposes.
Scoring
We are running "The Rematch: Islanders vs. Mainlanders" on a points system this year. A full point will be awarded to the team whose member scores the highest in Travelers class (classes 1 through 6, and Guest). A half-point will be awarded to the team for each Travelers sub-class winner (Jr., Vet1, Vet2, Lady). Points for ties in class or sub-class will be awarded to both teams. If a team has no participants in a class or sub-class, the score will automatically be zero for that team. Well represented classes will be the key to team victory.

Yesterday........
Great Day for all,
Thanks to Jeff and John,
great, challenging targets,
we mainlanders need pactice.
Artie
Just wanted to let everyone
Just wanted to let everyone who did not visit with us at Suffolk Trap, Skeet & Sporting Clays today, that this falls shoot was even better than the last Islander VS Mainlander shoot.
How do you spell "Humble Pie"?
Congratulations to the Islanders, who took full advantage of the home field advantage and kicked our collective Mainland butts! You were excellent hosts (even if my jelly stick was sons jelly!) and gracious winners.
I have once again confirmed my belief that "I want to be like Howard when I grow up."
A good time was had by all. Thanks to Jeff for the coordination and John for the scoring.
Next year I recommend a neutral field...is there a nice sporting course in Hawaii?
Ed D.
Another Mainlander Victory Anticipated
OK boys and girls...only 26 more wins and we'll tie the Yankees. I am wearing my #2 shirt to show my commitment to tomorrow's victory.
In the immortal words of Grand Funk Railroad..."I'm your Captain; yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah."
Team Captain
Nothing personal, but the issue is about being outclassed. I can only assume that John or Howard are their captain(s).
CAPTAIN? Ed
Is this a self appointed position. As a mainlander, I do not remember the vote
I was voting for Schrager.....
Art Tonucci
We Voted!
We voted at last year's shoot, don't you remember? I think you nominated Ed and Carl seconded it!
Ed Davies "Captain" No
Ed Davies "Captain" No thanks rather stay home & rake leaves
Carl LaCavalla (NRA Member)
I resign!
If nominated I will not run. If elected I will not serve!
A thinking man would have to be out of his mind to agree to lead our band of eclectic ragamuffins! We need a genuinely impaired individual to lead Team-Mainland to victory. I nominate Art!
Ed Davies (American Free-Thinker)
(I may need to pitch my tent in Port Jeff and change affiliations!)
Play Nice
We can't be fighting amongst ourselves if we want a cohesive team effort. The Islanders will see this minor chink in our armor and try to exploit it if we're not careful!
We're not fighting/ just
We're not fighting/ just having a little fun/Ed has big shoulders/resignation not accepted! If we lose so what/ it would result in a tie! Then next years Tie-Breaker will be on our Turf!
Jeff,
Please sign Phillip & Me up!
and my friend John Rachel (islander)
Count me in.
I will be present to lead the Mainland Marauders to their 2nd consecutive victory...a "Two-pete" as we say in competitive circles.
Bring "em On!
