Friday Night Dinner at the Lobster

The past few years we've arranged a CTSCA Friday nite dinner at the Lobster Classic.  No special arrangements no special menu, just let us know you're coming so we can give the restaurant a head count.  We order off the regular menu, arrange for a cash bar and split the dinner bill.  Usually about 20 to 30 show up.

The place we've gone to the past few years just closed (I guess we need to go to more shoots up there).  Before I go to the effort of finding another restaurant that is willing to put up with us, I wanted to get an idea whether people like that dinner / want to come / or could care less.

With the advise and assistance of Howard Berman, we've made arrangements for a CTSCA dinner on Friday night, August 13, at 6.30 pm for Travelers and their guests at Wright's Farm Family Restaurant.  http://www.wrightsfarm.com/

Wright's is a Rhode Island tradition, a BBQ chicken dinner with all the chicken you want or a steak. The main entree, Wright's Farm Restaurant chicken, is not only cooked to a succulent, tender perfection but starts out with the highest quality birds, delivered fresh from Wright's grower, and inspected seven times to ensure quality and consistency.

The fabulous dinner is served family-style. Wright's secret lies in its insistence on freshness and commitment to consistency. Dinner begins with rolls made daily in Wright's own bakery served along with crisp, fresh salad topped with Wright's Farm Classic Italian Dressing. These are followed by family-size portions of shell macaroni, truly unique French fries and Wright's famous chicken. The macaroni is served with Italian sauce made from a family own recipe. They say that the French Fries are so good that they alone are a reason to visit Wright's Farm Restaurant. Made from fresh, never frozen, specially selected potatoes grown in sweet soil, they offer a taste and consistency that can be found no where else.

The cost for the dinner is $10.95 plus tax and tip. They only take cash.  There will also be a separate cash bar.

I've never been to Wright's but it is strongly recommended by Howard.  And you can always take Howard's recommendation when it comes to food.

If you want to join us, please let Bob Schrager know by August 8  (either by email or snail mail), so we can give the restaurant an idea as to numbers.

Bob:

I don't know if anyone sent you PM's regarding Friday Night Dinner, but I'd like to vote for Wright's Farm Restaurant.

http://www.wrightsfarm.com/ they are located a stone's throw from Addiville East and it's an interesting experience.  They can outfit us with our own room, have a pay one price all you can eat policy, and it is a very social atmosphere.
