So this should be a lively topic, I am curious what "most people are shooting" "most" of the time.... Not at Rabbit's or 70 yarder's, but 80% of the time, what is your go to, payload, speed FPS and brand??
What have I ever done to give you the impression that I'm NOT a tightwad? I'm still trying to figure out how I can get a $2/box rebate on shells I win at a Travelers event.
I'm a big fan of 1 1/8oz in the 1280-1300 fps range. I'll shoot Rios when I can get them for a decent price, Remington Game Loads or AA's when I can't. I mainly shop price first, loyalty and other fringe benefits (like how clean they burn) a distant second. I'll shoot 1oz 1300fps if I can find them cheap or with a rebate.
I find that the Rio sporting and trap loads are relatively clean in my auto, and can be relied on to break most targets. I like the 1 1/8 oz. 8's. 1150 or 1200fps.
If I was forced to shoot only one shell it would be the 1200's in 7 1/2's.
Rebate Bonanza
Both Federal and Winchester are offering up to $2 a box back. Check out http://www.ctsca.org/taxonomy/term/92
what did I learn today???
jeff is a tightwad and ed relies on his shells to break targets.
All kidding aside, i agree with both. Rio burn clean and at the price Joe Cemino sells them to us is a good choice.
on the other hand, it is hard to not go for a "great" rebate deal when they are out there.

Nice to see that you have fully recovered
And your wife is such a nice lady, too.
