Dover Furnace Sporting
Paula Moore and I shot at Dover Furnace for the first time yesterday. As most know by now, they are up and running and already attracting a lot of familiar faces. The facility is as attractive and inviting as parent Ten Mile River Preserve. The course is a relatively long loop, and exhibits some dramatic terrain and target presentation possibilities. Every station provides interest and varying degrees of difficulty. The course opens out into cornfields and open space from #10 onward, and this is where some of the greatest interest and challenge presents itself. These fields double as part of the sporting layout and also the Fitasc course. The challenge and fun factors run very high here.
This is one complete world-class facility, and all shooters, near and far, owe themselves a visit to Dover Furnace......we welcome them heartily to the Clays Community.
See you there,
Lans Christensen

Return Trip
I made a return trip to Dover Furnace today and I'd say at least half the stations are differant than last time I was there which is only 10 days ago.
Dover Furnace
Had the pleasure of shooting with the Ad Sportsmen there on the "soft launch" of the course. Have been fortunate enough to be back twice since. This is an amazing place with great and creative targets. Pat has been a real pleasure to talk to each time my wife and I have gone. You can tell that he and the crew there really care about making this a a top notch facility. I'd say the effort is paying off.

The only thing I can say to adequately descibe this place is WOW! And let it go in the public record that I tied big Ed.

It was great to shoot with you yesterday, Big Dog!
But also for the record, you were closer to those high teal! ;)
I fully agree
I concur with Lans on his assessment of Dover Furnace. I shot there several weeks ago with the Ad Sports group and it is fun, challenging and picturesque. I expect that they will do very well.
My daughter and I are heading there Monday, 10/12 to celebrate the Columbus Day holiday with a group of friends. I expect that we'll arrive around 10:00. Join us for an excellent sporting clays experience!
